Midland County Habitat, in partnership with MPS Building Trades, built this house at 2809 Shreeve. The house features a frost-protected slab-on-grade foundation. Advanced framing techniques were used for fewer thermal breaks, creating a more energy-efficient shell. Partnered with Dupont, we practice air sealing techniques that allow us to achieve a HERS rating in the mid to low 30s. Our houses are all electric, using the heat pump technology in our mechanical installations (heating/ cooling systems, hot water heater) as well as electric dryers. Our houses are equipped with an ERV for indoor air quality.
